Privacy Policy

    The short version: We collect only what we need to run the App. We do not sell your data. You can delete everything at any time.
  

1. Who We Are

HaulLedger is a financial tracking app for independent dump truck drivers, operated by HaulLedger ("we," "us"). Questions? Reach us at support@haulledger.net.

2. What Information We Collect

Information you give us:

Email address and password (for your account)
Full name and company information (entered in Settings)
Revenue tickets — dates, tons, rates, customer names, ticket numbers
Expense records — dates, categories, amounts, descriptions
Photos of tickets or receipts you scan (processed locally on your device — not stored on our servers)

Information collected automatically:

Your device's language preference
Basic usage data needed to keep your account working (login timestamps managed by Supabase)

We do not collect GPS location, contacts, microphone access, or any data beyond what is listed above.

3. How We Use Your Information

To sync your data across devices when you are logged in
To generate PDF reports (Pro feature) on your device
To verify invoices against your logged tickets (Pro feature)
To send important account notices (e.g., password reset, policy changes)
To process your Pro subscription payment through Stripe

We do not use your financial data for advertising, credit scoring, or any purpose other than providing the App's features to you.

4. How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored securely in Supabase, a cloud database provider that uses industry-standard encryption (AES-256 at rest, TLS in transit). Each user's data is protected by Row Level Security — meaning only your account can read or write your records.

Ticket and receipt photos you take within the App are processed on your device using on-device OCR. They are not uploaded to or stored on our servers.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase — secure cloud database and authentication (Privacy Policy)
Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Stripe handles all billing; we never see or store your full card number. (Privacy Policy)
Vercel — app hosting (Privacy Policy)

We do not share your financial records with any of these providers beyond what is technically necessary to run the service.

6. Data Retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (via Settings → Clear All Data or by contacting us), your cloud data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your data — export it anytime via Settings → Export Data
Correct your data — edit any record directly in the App
Delete your data — use Settings → Clear All Data or email us
Portability — your export is a standard JSON file you can use with other tools

8. Children's Privacy

HaulLedger is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you via your registered email address or an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
